"I'm so glad to have not just an advocate for those who are challenged with lymphedema-but an advocate who knows the personal struggles, emotionally and physically as well. This book tells the excerpts of our daily lymphedema battle. Amy tells about the victories and the defeats with bold honesty and courage. If you know anyone who has lymphatic disorder, please share her book with them. It's uplifting and encouraging. There may not be a cure for lymphedema yet, but there is hope. Thank you Amy for sharing your hope with us."

MD, MPH - Lymphatic Anomalies Researcher

Amy empowers you to tap into your inner strength and channel it to improve your quality of life. During our individualized consulting session, her vast knowledge of lymphedema and everything the disease entails guided me as I recovered from my second lymphedema surgery. Her insight and outside the box thinking enabled me to experiment with different ways to ease my recovery and forge ahead with my lymphedema journey. I highly recommend a one and one session with Amy. You will find it very helpful and empowering.

Working with Amy has been a game-changer in my lymphedema journey. Her one-on-one sessions are not just informative but deeply personal. She listens and understands. I feel empowered and supported. I can't recommend her enough!

Secondary Lymphedema Thriver

On January 13th, my prior authorization for surgery was denied, being classified as "not medical necessary/experimental."
Following this, I filed two appeals, both of which were also denied. After these unsuccessful attempts, I reached out to Amy for help. She provided a detailed letter highlighting why the surgery was a medical necessity and how it could improve my quality of life.
Acting on Amy's advice, I submitted all the required documents for an external review on January 24th, 2025, and requested that the review be expedited.
Just four days later, the previous denial was overturned, and my surgery was approved.
Having Amy's guidance and direction on what steps to take during this emotional and frustrating process was truly a gift.

I lived most of my life hiding my lymphedema — trying to shrink myself, cover the swelling, and pretend I was fine.
But healing began when I stopped hiding.
After decades of pain, surgeries, and searching for answers, I realized that thriving with lymphedema wasn’t about chasing perfection — it was about learning how to flow with my body, not fight it.
Today, I teach others what I wish I’d known all along: that knowledge, daily rhythm, and grace change everything.
Through The Rivera Method, my book Drop the Skirt, and The Lymphedema Blueprint Course, I help patients take control of their care and help therapists see their patients through a new lens — the patient’s perspective..
